Some sessions just feel easy from the start. This was one of those. Lilly was so incredibly sweet — gentle, curious, and calm in a way that felt familiar. It honestly felt like I had met her before, like she was someone I already knew.
She had this soft presence about her that made everything slow down just a bit. Emily and Ty were just as laid back. No pressure, no expectations — just letting their little girl be herself. Those are the moments I love most. The quiet ones. The real ones. The ones that don’t need much direction because the connection is already there.
They’re the kind of family that makes my heart sing to photograph. The kind that reminds me why I love this work so much. Spending even a short amount of time with them was such a joy, and I walked away feeling really grateful I got to be there to witness it.
These are the moments I never want to rush past. 🤍
